Getting ready for our last course at Crook until May and looking forward to sampling more delights from the kitchen of the Wild Boar. Last time we were there we were treated to a new menu item for our lunch: Smoked trout, black pudding and pancetta in a wonderful English mustard cream sauce, piled into a crisp and perfect Yorkshire pudding. So hard to go back to work after this! But we did, of course, demonstrating the riverside smoker and barrel smoker before our students returned to the restaurant for the exam…!
