Our last smoking courses at Shap for 2011…

A mixture of sadness and relief as we waved off the last smokers of the year from the home of Smoky Jo’s here at Shap…  we have a couple of courses at the Wild Boar in November, but we can batten down the hatches here and recharge our batteries until April!  That’s not to say we won’t be doing a little smoking for ourselves….

Hey Ladies
Thanks for a fab day on Saturday… after a bit of a drive home, I got up the next day and soaked some chicken drummers, (as Loui absolutely loves smoked food and I think thats why she got me the present in the first place) anyway with my new stove top purchase and after a couple of hours soaking ‘ hey prestoo’ smoked chicken drummers mmmmm and yummy they were too. We shall be moving to a lovely rural house in North Yorkshire, next month and already have planned the cold smoker in the garage, converting my old gas BBQ into a hot smoker and a nice bread oven in the garden (thanks to Hue Fernleys-Whittingstalls bread book).

Again thanks for a ‘splendid’ day….cold smoked chicken drummers for tea…ding dong…!

You girls really are inspirational…xx
