On Sunday we returned from the Wild Boar Inn, Windermere having completed our first “away fixture”.
It was brilliant!
Smoky Geo and I really enjoyed ourselves – and that tends to be a good sign. All the participants seemed to have a wonderful time. It is hard not to have a smile on your face at the Wild Boar – the warm and helpful staff immediately put you at ease and nothing seems too much trouble. It was important to us that we worked without getting in the way of the day to day running of the hotel; I’m sure working around a busy, professional kitchen we were in the way on occasion but all the staff went out of the way to make it as easy for us as possible, ensuring we could present the course comfortably.
